I bought all 3 levels and just finished Level one. This is my first review and I'm glad I waited until completing the first level because many of the areas that I thought were lacking have been addressed. I am very happy that so much info has been added in the language classes. Of course, the conversations are good, especially to practice listening, but without the language lessons all you are doing is memorizing phrases, which isn't all that useful in real life. I do the language lessons with a pen and legal pad at my side to take notes and write down important rules and vocabulary to review later. Before I move on to level 2 I intend to go back and repeat many of the individual language lessons. It was tempting to just run through the course and finish all the work as quickly as I could get the answers right, but, of course, a lot more effort in really studying and understanding the material presented is needed. Expect to spend several hours to even several days on each module reviewing new info, grammar and vocabulary if you really want to become conversant.

I am enjoying my Rocket Italian course. The lessons are well structured with useful information on some Italian verbs.
I like the fact the lessons are spoken at a slow speed before we hear the Italian spoken at a normal speed . plenty of opportunity to test your own pronunciation .
Keep up the good work !
Thank you

Rocket Languages is fantastic for learning German, it’s the best resource I’ve ever tried. Duolingo is addictive but doesn’t offer the depth of insight and grammar and culture lessons offered by Rocket Languages. I enjoy listening to the interactive audio lessons while driving or doing household tasks. Every lesson with its associated activities provides very comprehensive coverage of the topic.

My one recommendation is that in Level 1 German, Paul’s voice is hard to understand. His voice is not as crisp and clear as Lena’s voice. Sometimes it’s hard to replicate what Paul saying because I can’t clearly hear his pronunciation in the first place, and it becomes frustrating. That’s the only improvement I would recommend.

Thanks for a fantastic product overall!

Response from Rocket Languages

Thank you for the kind words and for sharing your experience learning German with us! We're glad to hear you’re enjoying the depth of the lessons and finding the format useful in your daily routine. We appreciate your feedback about Paul’s voice clarity in Level 1 and understand that clear pronunciation is essential for learning. It would be helpful if you could provide a little more information about this issue. Could you please contact our team at [email protected] and let us know exactly where in the course you experienced this problem, whether with the Role Playing activity or in the Audio Lesson transcript? Thanks again for your support, and all the best with your language learning!

The Korean course is excellent with an excellent balance of repetition and introduction of new material. Based on a trial run a couple of years ago, I recommended the Spanish course to a friend, who says he loves it. I'm hoping that at some point more advanced courses in Korean will be added. One suggestion I would make would be to concentrate more on the alphabet at the outset or encourage learners to go through all the writing modules right away so as to only rely on Romanization for an introduction to the sounds, and then never use it again.

I have been studying Italian since 2010. Rocket Italian has been my primary learning vehicle although I have dabbled with others. Even with Rocket Italian, I suffer from 2 things everyone else struggles with: 1. Not having a person (s) with whom I can carry on a conversation and 2.I have a real job that takes up a lot of time. I have all 3 products, levels I, II and III and early on I raced through each lesson and did the multiple test questions at the end then went on. Then as time went on, I went back and listened to each lesson a 2nd and 3rd and 4th time and did all the tests. Hear it Say it, Write it and Know it. When I started doing those faithfully, my learning really took off. Another thing that has helped me recognize words is a website you can go to called Slow News in Italian. You can google it. It’s the days news slowly, in Italian and the translation is there if you struggle. It really helps pick up conversation. I offer these ideas because I just read several of the posts people have made and I see so many of us with the same issues. Buon imparando!

Great language course with a lot of features and mixed platform (PC / mobile) is great help for on the go.
I would however like to see the ability to unsubscribe from the trials, once you start a trial on any language it does not give me the option to unsubscribe from it in the app or on the site. This annoys me.

Response from Rocket Languages

Hi Solar - You can unsubscribe from within the email itself, or you can of course just email customer support and we will do it for you!
