Rocket french has given me a challenge. You speak, read and write French. You listen to native speakers talk in an normal pace. There is a place to store your vocab, they have live tutoring and games. Would highly recommend this to anyone.
I have found the rocket Chinese language course expertly laid out and easy to follow. I have only completed module one but can feel a difference already. The listening exercises have really helped develop my skills. I am keen to complete this course and the next and will recommend it to others.
I teach martial arts and travel to Japan quite often. I've found Rocket Japanese to be excellent although I've been a bit slow and have breaks from it. But it's so easy to do a quick revision to get back on track. My wife and I will be spending some time in Germany soon and I'm using Rocket German to help prepare me.
This is an amazing program! I had tried Pimsleur and Fluenz when learning Spanish. Rocket simply blows those away. And with the iPhone app and mp3 recordings you can practice anywhere. Enjoy learning your new language!
An excellent system where each lesson builds on past lessons. Having one voice (Mauricio) always trigger you to repeat what he says works very well, at least for me. The material covered is very useful, every day language. The course helped me very much in preparing for a 500 mile walk across Spain.
So far my experience with Rocket has been very positive. Being able to remember even half of what I learned a couple days ago shocked me. Most languages I have attempted to learn result in me forgetting over 90% of the vocabulary I have learned after a short period of time. This method of learning seems to make me naturally think and respond in the native language so that I can form connections and remember core phrases in the long term.
Before our last trip to Italy we purchased Rosetta Stone, lost interest after about a month and didn't learn as much as we had hoped. We are going back this year, so I decided to try another program. Someone suggested Pimsleur, so I got a trial edition and quickly realized I would pretty much wind up illiterate but be able to speak some Italian. This may be all some people are looking for which is fine, but I wanted to be able to read and write also.
After Googling Italian Language I found Rocket Italian, the reviews were great so I tried it. Rocket Italian has the best overall lessons that I've seen. They start out easy so you have some early success, then get progressively longer and harder. You can repeat as much as you'd like depending on how anal you are at getting everything right (that would be me) or move forward as fast as you want. I have a long commute each day, so I downloaded all the lessons to my Ipod and listen to them on my way to and from work.
I subscribed to the RAI channel as a means keeping track of progress. At first it seemed as though native Italians speak so fast I couldn't tell when one word ended and the next started, they appeared just be making noises, lol.
it's very interesting site, about me, I found it very useful to me because I have never heard a Spanish word before, and learning Spanish, it seems to me like an impossible dream my ears are not familiar with Spanish sounds, but with your help I think this dream is in my hands.thank you
So far so good! I like it better than Rosetta Stone and some other packages that I have tried. I have traveled in Russia, but my language skills were 'survival level' at best. I am hoping to pick up my game.
This is as much fun as Deutsch war sehr schwer mit Pimsleur! My high school Spanish is maybe not as rusty as my German was. I am gliding thru these classes with ease and with great enjoyment. As a native French speaker being back in a Latin language helps a lot!
