It took me quite a long time to decide to take the plunge and buy a language course. Ive only ever tried free apps like Duolingo which is also a good program. But i can tell you Rocket Italian so far has exceeded my expectation. I have just finished the first section. I have become quite addicted to the program. The numerous forms of self testing really does help it stick. Im not perfect and I did have to rerun the last two sessions three times for it to stick but believe me. Doing this has helped me a lot better than any of the free apps I have used. Long may it continue as I progress through the lessons. I agree with comments about the fact that some times quite rarely the recording went odd. Bit a quick stop and replay solves this. It doesnt happen often.
In short Im loving it at the moment. Not sure about when it gets harder though. Give it a go!!

Have been trying for years to learn Spanish (even at Open University), but have never found a method of study that manages to capture the style of learning that both holds my interest and allows me to progress quite quickly. Rocket Spanish is quite costly, but on the plus side it is downloadable and you have membership for life including upgrades. It has definitely reinvigorated my desire to master this new language, and for the first time I believe that it may actually be achievable.

I am enjoying the lessons so far but is a bit difficult to understand why the same word has different translations. Specifically "Hajime mashite". It is a bit off-putting. The rating on customer service can be ignored, I have not had the need to contact them. I am happy with the price but mainly because I got it at a 60% discount. Not sure I would have bought it otherwise. I also wish that there was a notification in the app that the voice recognition is much better on PC. I found that on the app it didn't recognize a difference with me ending in "masu" or "mashita" even though it wanted the latter.

Rocket Russian is a superb resource. The audio lessons provide opportunities for listening, speaking, and getting a grasp on a multitude of phrases, while other tools offer help in writing and grammar. This wide selection of tools allows for one to exercise different aspects of learning a language. Rocket Languages is an invaluable tool for anyone just starting out or wanting to learn a language.

Rocket Hindi is my favourite language learning method after reading actual books, which give me much more in depth understanding of grammar.
My fault with it is the use of the inherent vowel at the end of the English (romanised) tranliteration of words and where it’s not pronounced in the middle of some words. It’s a massive let down to the service and gets in the way of every session. The inherent ‘a’ vowel is only pronounced in Sanskrit. So for example the word namaskar, which almost everywhere else is transliterated as namaskar, on Rocket Hindi it’s written namaskara. Your brain is already spending a lot of effort learning new worlds, sounds, spellings, associations. To have to them sift out this ‘a’ all the time is exasperating.
They could simply write something about the inherent vowel at the start of the course. I mean it’s an English Transliteration not the actual spelling anyway. It’s meant to sound how the word is pronounced.
Every time I come across a word while I’m listening to the audio at the same time and it doesn’t match the audio I get a moment of confusion. I have to look hard at the word to see why it’s pronounced differently, if it is the inherent vowel or something else.

I've used Rocket before for another language. I'm very happy with it. Some things annoy me, for example, mistakes. Just in the first dialog, we are told that "Uno, due, tre" rhymes with "quattro , cinque, sei". But this almost undoes the lesson about pronunciation since 'tre' ends on a pure vowel 'e' and 'sei' ends on a diphthong 'ei'. They don't rhyme. Apart from the mistakes (and I'm hoping there aren't as many as the last time I used this program), I think it's one of the best available. And I do tend to be fussy.

I started the course 6 days ago, and I have to say I do like it. Unlike modern techniques "learn-a language-the way-children-do", which is definitely not my cup of tea, here there are clear explanations provided in enjoyable conversations - just what I need. Each audio lasts approx. 30 min - not too long and not too short - I suppose that is the right time to process information without becoming tired of it.
What I like the most about the course is the way it's constructed. You just listen to the audio, repeat phrases, checking your pronunciation, and do exercises, all of which help you memorise new information. I already feel confident pronouncing basic but extremely useful phrases in French! I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND the course to my friends!

Very good program. Having technical difficulties, however, therefore I am unable to use it correctly.

Could I get a refund.

There are many many good lessons. I like it basically but due to technical difficulties I am not able to use it as it was intended

SO AWESOME!!! would ABSOLUTELY recommend to friends and family (and just about everyone)!! Is quite expensive (the owners are probably really stretching the price from what it needs to be) but honestly it's worth it!! FOR SURE would recomment- its worth the price because its like textbooks and training and homework and a teacher and a tutor all in one!!! Absolutely a must-have if you're starting a new language (or struggling with one you're trying to learn).
