So far this has been a great course. I have really enjoyed it. I start out with Rocket Russian first thing every morning and then use my other language courses to build on what I have learned. I've been using it to prepare for an upcoming trip to Russia.

I absolutely LOVE Rocket Russian! I have tried so many other books, programs, cds, online tutorials, etc - and this is by far my favorite so far. I love that it uses a lot of repetition to build your foundation. I also love that it's not a monthly thing - but a lifetime subscription so I can take my time and not feel guilty about missing a day or two.
Great program! Love it! Thanks!!

Rocket Russian was launched only yesterday. It is perfectly functioning. Clear audio voices in Russian. The lessons include diferent ways of learning and testing your language skills. You get a little cyrillic keybord on screen for writing in cyrillic Russian, rather then phonetic roman writing. This is a usefull tool for getting used to cyrillic writing and learning the vocabulary in cyrillic alphabet.

The players of the conversation are very good and it is quite fun learning this way! I have tried to learn languages on my own, as I have already learnt four, but it gets quite hard when learning grammar and way of saying things. I think this way is the best and quickest if you have time and keep on trying hard. I hope to learn Russian quite soon.

I have been searching for a Russian language app that allows me to learn to speak Russian at least to a good conversational standard, but which also lets me learn to read and write the associated Cyrillic script at the same time as learning to speak the words ... only Rocket Russian seems to allow you to do all three things at the same time!

I particularly like the voice recognition software that takes my Russian speech and converts it into Russian text, letting me see immediately whether I have it right or not. This is awesome ... highly recommended!

I really like the Rocket language russian language series. It is easy to use and well worth the money. I wanted to learn russian for years but could not find a course that would be flexible to learn; but Rocket Russian came along. Russian is tough language to learn but rocket languages makes it easy to learn.

I also have rocket spanish and i liked it so much that i went ahead and got this russian series. Very highly recommended. Thanks.

I've been an avid language learner for years now. I've dabbled in using various training programs and the like, but I decided to give Rocket Russian a try because I felt like it was worth a try to experiment and see just how quickly I could learn this language.
I've only been at it for a week, and I am blown away.
Literally, all it takes is daily consistency, and a commitment to finishing at least one lesson a day, plus, reviewing the lessons you've already covered, just so that it stays fresh in your mind.
Specifically, here are two things that I like about Rocket Russian:
1. The amount of resources. Not only can you download all your audio lessons and pdfs, but you also have various practice methods prepared and available, such as flash cards and multiple choice questions.
2. The length and structure of the lessons. Each lesson last between 15 and 20 minutes, and each lesson begins with a quick review of the previous lesson. The pace of the lessons is also just right - not only will you hear conversations spoken at regular speed, but each word will be broken down and explained slowly. This is extremely convenient, because I find that even without paying 100% attention to a lesson, when I'm driving, for example, I find myself repeating words and phrases almost unconsciously.

Rocket misses the mark in many ways. Teaching phrases without a literal translation is not helpful. Ideally, one should know what each word in the sentence is, so that one can then compose one's own sentences. Additionally, the speakers speak very quickly and one can't really tell how they are pronouncing the words in spite of having them spelled out in cyrillic. Also when teaching color names, why aren't' there colors on the screen, or at least on the flash cards? And when there are nouns, why not a picture of the object? I've been learning languages for many years, and I like some of Rocket Language's features, but I have to say that Pimsleur, does a much better job of teaching one to actually speak and understand the language, and they give literal translations and help one understand the context and syntax of words. But Pimsleur only teaches the audio, and they are way too expensive to only do that. Rocket Languages does offer voice comparison, but I have my doubts as to how good it really is at telling me how close I am to correct pronunciation. Rocket Languages is okay, but not the greatest. However, it is affordable. But, their customer service isn't very good.
