I started my rocket Italian trial yesterday and now am addicted to this class. The style that Maria and Alessandro use to teach is just amazing. It's like being in a class with two ineractive tutors who not only are taking you through the content but giving you easy conversations that you can relate to. Can't wait to use my little vocabulary with those Italian tourists visiting. Bene grazie. ..

I have started to learn Italian with Rocket Languages less than 2 weeks ago. I spend quite some time every day - and I can say that my progress is just fantastic. My goal is to have an awareness in basic situations within 2 months - and I am now sure I will come to it. I want to surprise my Italian friends and colleagues next time we meet - as they don't think I speak any Italian. Good idea - isn't it? And by the way just last week I have been refused to get a job - because Italian was needed. Never again I want to be in the same situation - it cannot be a point to be refused.
Italian is my third foreign language - and the Rocket Languages methodology is so efficient I could never think of. I encourage everybody thinking of picking up a new language - don't hesitate, go for Rocket Languages and for sure you won't be disappointed.

Rocket Italian is a great primary tool to use in learning Italian. The interactive audio lessons are engaging and they do a very good job of getting you to speak and write in Italian. The language and culture lessons offer a more in-depth opportunity to delve into the grammar and other technical issues of learning a language.

Sometimes you see something in one of the lessons that isn't explained as thoroughly as it could be (it is hard to cover EVERYTHING without being overwhelming). A place where Rocket Italian really shines is the forum. For most web sites, the Q&A forum is a black hole where questions go to disappear. For Rocket Italian, it is truly a valuable resource for filling in the blanks - led by terrific tutor Lucia!

As a point of comparison, a few years ago, I tried the "big name" in language learning. It was terribly disappointing. I spent 3x on "big name" compared to Rocket Italian, and it was not 1/10th as good. When I decided to re-commit to learning Italian, I did a lot of research and demo'd a few other offerings. Rocket Italian is by far the most comprehensive and fun to use. Highly recommend to anyone who has decided to get serious about learning a new language.

I am really enjoying learning Italian with Rocket Languages. I look forward to my lessons and try to catch up with a lesson or two most days. We are planning a trip to Italy soon and I think my Italian language skills will be greatly improved by the time we arrive there.

Overall Rocket Italian is a pretty good system. You get exposed to the language in a variety of ways and have some explanation as to why a particular pattern exists.

It does have the problem that there is only one correct answer for each thing. This of course ignores the fact that many things can be said in slightly different ways. As an example the phrase "She is angry" technically can be said as either "Lei è arrabbiata" OR "È arrabbiata" however the only accepted answer is "È arrabbiata". In other places an answer is only accepted if it has a he/she indicator.

There are also numerous places where the English phrase refers to you plural but for some strange reason they have not realized that _every_ place they do that needs some kind of indicator that they mean you plural rather than you singular since English only has 'you'.

Overall the issues with Rocket Italian aren't that big but they make it feel more like you are memorizing lines in another language rather than learning another language. The dialogues are the worst for this as they slowly take away more of the words you are supposed to say but you have to say the phrase word for word to get it right even though there are times when you could get the same meaning across with slightly different words. (They really should package the dialogue portion so that it can be used by actors memorizing lines as that is what it does.)

I like the fluidity of the lessons, and the themes you try, because they are regarding to the every day life. But I would like also that you include the audio file for the cultural revisions and conjugations
