Love it, love it, love it. I have done Rossetta Stone and Duolingo. Of course, I did learn a lot with them but I like this method better. You not only learn the language but about the culture. I just hope I have a discount when I want to learn other languages. I know a little of French and want to improve. Doing Italian right now. After French I want to do Portughese.

Absolute fantastic and very easy to learn. At present I am learning Italian. My partner is Italian, that is added advantage. I would certainly recommend Rocket Italian to my friends.
Please continue so.
Best regards
Dady

I found the first level excellent. Both presenters were extremely clear. I'm on to the intermediate course now though and finding it much tougher. It's the same female presenter and she's excellent, but the male presenter in this course is really difficult to understand, pronouncing words considerably differently from the original. They also leave way too little time to repeat the phrases in this one on the first attempt. The second seems to be ok. I've timed the first and in a lot of cases they leave less time than it took for them to say it, so hopeless for me as a beginner! A bit pricey, but overall it seems to be working.

Wonderful woman Italian speaker. Most beautiful Roman Italian. But totally exasperating waste of time as the American goes on and on and on with useless chit chat. I don't have that time to waste and have given up on this program

Hi Richard - Did you notice the Language & Culture lessons? They have thousands of Italian words and phrases that don't have the "chit-chat". In saying that many people do find the chit-chat entertaining.

I like that so much of the exercises use audio. Too many language teachers end up teaching how to read a language, but put very little emphasis on speaking and comprehension. I also really like the dictation exercises, mostly because they give me practice in comprehension of spoken Spanish.

Unlike Rosetta stone this teaches you things you can actually use and provides actual instruction. There is a good mixture of interactive audio lessons, activities, flash cards, review and more. It's nice to hear a native speaker and a non native (American) one too. I enjoy that this include some cultural pointers too. I can avoid ordering the wrong type of coffee for the wrong time of day! The mobile app seems a bit unresponsive. This has led me to doing most things on my Mac and listening to the audio portion on my iPhone on the way to work. I took a couple of years of Italian in college and this is a good way to learn all I forgot. It's helpful to have an explanation of some of the literal phases. Overall, great product for the money.

I had never studied Italian before, but after two trips to Italy, I decided I wanted to be able to read and converse in Italian for my next trip. I started knowing essentially zero words, and was concerned about being able to pronounce words correctly. The audio dialogs and additional lessons make it easy to replay a word or phrase and keep practicing until it becomes easy. Then you can check your pronunciation using the.microphone. How cool is that? The content of the lessons is real life situations so the lessons are so useful to a traveler. Maria has very clear enunciation . She speaks carefully and clearly. That makes learning the word pronunciation easier. There is some humor in the lessons too. I find it fun and engaging. The say it, write it, quizzes, know it and flash cards are great tools to reinforce the learning and find those portions that need additional study. Then the certification tests at the end are a useful assessment of your progress. Rocket Languages are well done, fun, and thorough and the price is quite reasonable. I would recommend these courses to any language learner.

Rosetta Stone and several other courses, all picture oriented, were getting me nowhere. I'm not an infant and no longer learn is such an inefficient manner. Rocket is much better. I'm an adult- just tell me what the words mean. Guessing at what pictures are trying to tell me, not to mention deciphering sentence structure and conjugation that way is not fun!

I have a very busy life style. Working away a lot all over the UK. My mum's side of the family were from Italy. I've had the desire to learn Italian for this reason and also I plan to honeymoon there in 2018. Rocket Italian is great because I can download lessons and then when doing a long drive a can listen to the lesson.

Having got to the end of my tree in Duolingo, I was looking for something more structured that could take me to the next level. Stumbled across Rocket Languages on the internet and decided to take a chance on the free trial to see what it was like.

Overall impressions so far are very good - the course is much more in depth, and uses real people to deliver the lessons and caters for different learning styles. The points/badges system is useful for keeping up motivation, the the weekly "Rocket Fuel" emails are tailored to here you are in the course. While more expensive than Duo (i.e. not free!), I have so far found it to be very helpful - and have jumped in to the paid for version with both feet. Despite having a fairly good knowledge of some words though Duo, I have found that even in Module 1 of Rocket I am learning things that I simply haven't covered previously.

For me, the existence of an iOS app is also a key selling point, as I am rarely in front of a computer with a microphone (which is critically important if you want your attempts at speaking rated). This also lets you get in a bit of studying whenever and wherever you want. I do think that the app still needs a little more attention, but is good enough for now and I have been impressed with some fairly rapid responses from the support team.

In summary - I personally would recommend Rocket Languages, and I hope to stick with it for a long time to come!
