I have been using the Rocket Italian app for a couple of months and I honestly say that it is one of the best purchases I could have made. Being able to speak Italian helps a lot, most apps you write it and never pronounce it.
With Rocket Languages you get judged on your pronunciation, and that is very helpful. Every lesson is easy to understand and follow. I would recommend this website to anyone that wants to learn a second language.
I enjoyed learning a lot and I have benefited rocket languages is the best way to learn new language and it can help you to learn fast and easy
In one lesson you will find how much you learn and after you finish all your lesson you can speak with confidence.
My overall impression of the level 1 program is that, with the exception of vocabulary, and the present tense, Rocket Italian Level 1 is very weak on teaching the student Italian grammar. An example of this is the use of prepositions. These seem to pop up everywhere with no explanation as to the rules governing their use (like the use of "di" which has at least 15 different meanings!), Level 1 aggravates this problem by frequently giving you lengthy Italian phrases in th flash cards & the "Know It" section to memorize. These contain grammatical structures that are never addressed in the course. Also, it makes no provision for different responses that the student may have translated correctly even though it is different from the translation in the course.
I would suggest they introduce a grammatical rule give some examples, & and then drills on that rule. The drills would also incorporate review of a verb tense. This would reinforce the latter and help us master both until they become second nature.
Instead, we waste enormous amounts of time memorizing lengthy sentences with no idea of the grammatical rules which govern the sentences. These are sentences which we will never use and quickly forget.
I have tried a few different resources in starting out with Italian. I have to say that I am glad I completed Paul Noble's audio course before starting with this - as the pace of learning with Rocket is much faster. The downside is that I find the learning much less "sticky" - the audio lessons simply don't have enough structured repetition of material to make the words stay in your memory. I find a lot of the exercises pointless too - I really don't want to repeat "sto bene" or "ciao" 100 times - although the recording facility is useful (not much point in relying on the software to rate your pronunciation - it's actually more useful to listen to yourself back).
Having said that, the course is enjoyable, and it's nice that it uses contemporary subject matter as well as "real" Italian. I tried a few Pimsleur lessons too and that was really, really bad - very out of date, with some cringe-worthy material. Just awful.
I find the most useful lessons the non-audio ones , oddly enough. No one course is enough when you are learning a language - I supplement Rocket with Italian films, a fantastic audio resource which cost me 95 PENCE ! (Rilkey's 613 Italian dialogues) - reading Italian newspapers and short story books, Duolingo, and any opportunity I get to speak in real situations.
I'm not sure I would buy the advanced levels of the course - but I am enjoying using the first level partly as revision and partly to lean new things.
I researched on-line courses and Rocket Italian got the best rating.
It is self paced (I use downloaded recordings then go back to the on-line text and grammar) and I have found it very easy to learn quite sophisticated (but I realise still "baby" language) phrases.
Coupled with a trip to Italy you get a really good accent.
I really recommend it as it is also quite inexpensive and I have so far nearly completed the second premium course in about a year using it on and off.
I am very pleased with Rocket Italian. After two weeks my vocabulary has increased greatly along with my ability to speak the language. I spoke to a native Italian and they told me that my accent was spot on and I have only got through the first block of lessons in Module 1.
I tried 7 different language apps to learn Italian before I went to search on "best Italian language program app" on google and came across Rocket Language. After trying it for 3 days, I was convinced it is worth the investment. So far, I have been retaining most of what I learned with the different ways each module is presented through repeated sight, hearing, saying and writing. I am pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone interested in learning another language.
I like the program, though it goes VERY slowly and each unit is terribly long. But the biggest problem is that after working for awhle on a unit it crashes and I get a message saying "aw snap, something went wrong". This happens every day
