I've studied Japanese for years using various language learning software, but none of them have really helped me out as much as Rocket has. To begin with, the learning curve feels appropriate for each lesson. You are doing more then just listening to words and phrases and trying to memorize them, you actually unearth the reasons why you say various things at various times. The explanations help you to stay on track, and remain motivated. And even if there are words you don't understand, you can highlight them at any time and look them up in the dictionary. Don't like the definition that is given (or there isn't one)? Then you can add your own definition to stay organized.

Unlike a lot of other programs, you are also learning how to write the actual language in the way that the Japanese do. After all, how can you say you truly understand a language just by reading or speaking it? You have to be able to write it as well, and Rocket shows you how to write each hiragana, katakana, and kanji character properly, stroke by stroke.

Price wise, Rocket is truly a bargain for the content that you are receiving. It is all available as soon as you sign up, and there is no expiration date to use the material. Unlike several other programs, the price is also reasonable and stays out of the $200's, making Rocket affordable.

You can't go wrong with Rocket Japanese. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, there is still something to learn.

I really enjoy the variety of tasks per lesson. While not all are how I learn, it appears that Rocket Language covers a wide variety of learning styles to cover most people's learning styles. I enjoy the audio portions and the text recall sessions. Combined I feel like I'm learning three times as fast as I would with either one on their own.

If you want to start learning a language Rocket Language is a good way to jump in head first.

It's a very well thought out progression through the language. And starts in immediately with practically applicable language with the rules of grammar sprinkled in here and there. Enough so that you actually learn the mechanics of the language but not so much per lesson that it becomes overwhelming or dull. All in all it's a very very good course and I'm very happy with it.

I'm still very new but I think it's very helpful, especially with a language like Japanese as I can't read the writing - yet! What I didn't know when I started was the Rocket Japanese would help me learn to read it as well!!! AWESOME!!!

What sold me on Rocket originally were the recording and writing features. Although I have not had the time to use all of the program (and it is not from a lack of interest), this has been a robust experience so far.

I haven't come across anything yet that has not been a benefit in learning another language to me. It has been well worth the money and I would say that Rocket is a reasonably priced value, in my opinion.

I love Rocket Japanese!

I've been studying Japanese for a few years now and the biggest problem I always had was that I had to keep switching between several different books, audio CDs, and computer courses in order to get a FULL education.

It was incredibly frustrating when I would finish a book or course and not feel like I had learned very much that I could actually use. Then I found Rocket Japanese - Thank God!!!

My two favorite things are that it covers ALL aspects of Japanese (speaking, listening, reading, writing, and culture) and also that there is an enormous amount of material. I invested in all three levels and it was the best decision I've ever made when it comes to learning Japanese.

Bottom line is this: if you are truly serious about learning Japanese then you NEED Rocket Japanese. I highly recommend it to everyone who asks.

It's been years since I've had a formal Japanese course, and was never near any level of conversational proficiency. I've tried other methods and courses to try and brush up on the language, but nothing seemed to stick. Though I'm only through the first lesson, it seems like this might be what can get me being conversational!

What really seems to help is the encouragement to speak and repeat the language, which is something that I've always been shy about. I plan to see this course through, and if there are ever any other languages I want to pursue, I'll definitely use Rocket Language!

I have taken Japanese in high school as well as community college, and have even tried staying on the language with another software program but I didn't stick to it and it wasn't as good as formal classes. A few years ago on Busuu I made another attempt at learning the language but once again I didn't keep to it. The classroom setting with an instructor who is Japanese or and American who knows the language and the curriculum of learning to read, write, and speak was more effective. However, I believe things will be different with this time around since I really want to get back into learning the language even if that means going re-going over things I learned before and picking up new words and skills along the way. From what I have experienced so far Rocket is actually I very fun and interactive learning experience that I believe will help me rekindle my interest in learning the Japanese language. ありがとうございます!。

Once you get started the Rocket course is fun and the learning experience is great. From the very first lesson you learn that you can learn and it actually makes you feel like you can do it. The different ways to practice also "force" you to try. I also like that the lessons are short and we always review what we have learned in the previous lesson. I just need to remain committed and I think I will make good progress. It also helps to see the points add up the more you practice.
