I'd like to start with a statement, that this is a very subjective opinion. I have been active user of Rocket Italian for some 4 months. At the same time I was (also very actively) using another programs, like Duolinguo, Memrise, RosettaStone and various on-line Italian podcasts and learning programs "on the fly", both on PC and on a mobile devices (mainly smartphone) - News in Slow Italian, Learn Italian etc. Having such a broad experience I can say, that Rocket Italian is a very useful and efficient way of learning Italian. What I wanted most is to avoid direct comparisons between various platforms, especially because such comparisons are not reasonable. Probably there is not a single universal platform for everybody, and there seems to be no "one fits all" philosophy, at least when it comes to programs facilitating language learning. Every platform is oriented slightly differently, and possibly is optimal for different types of learners (visual, audio, kinetic, mixed etc), wanting to learn different skills first/most (grammar, vocabulary, speaking, etc.). But taking into consideration all this things I can say honestly, that Rocket Italian is OPTIMAL FOR ME.
Rocket Languages is a fantastic way to learn a new language. This program is truly appealing.... The Rocket review makes this application a fun and complete learning experience. Although the price made me think twice, Rocket Languages is worthy. It is really worth it. I recommended to those who are unsure... Trust me, this is a great investment.
I fell in love with Japanese through Anime. The Japanese Grammar is so different from all the other languages I speak. One really has to learn to think like a Japanese person and I think Rocket Japanese really has the best approach to it. Explaining Grammar where it is necessary and leaving it aside where it isn't. Their program is also the most pragmatic one. You really learn relevant stuff for every day life. Other programs make you speak like a lifeless robot, not Rocket Japanese. It also is the most comprehensive language course for Japanese I know of. The price may be a little bit high but it seems to be worth it. The reason why I probably won't be buying any other courses is that I already bought the 3 levels for Japanese. It already is my 5th language and I don't want to add another one.
Really good for learning languages, very natural and just very good. Would recommend, 10/10. I had some basic knowledge on french before this, but this was the first one that allowed me to record and review my own voice. kjagijaewijfnadjshif
Honestly, I really enjoy the interactive component of the course. It not only allows you to engage with the language and therefore better understand it, but most importantly, it gets you ready for the conversational aspect of any language. Furthermore, I particularly appreciated the audio lessons which explain the pronunciations, their rationales, and their connection to their english equivalents. Finally, the written exercises are particularly helpful to get one's written and not simply oral skills up to par.
The one deterrent I have from the program is it's cost. Being a student, I don't have a particularly high budget and with competing programs such as Duolingo, it might be hard to justify the purchase. That being said, the trial thus far has given me a taste of the real package that is Rocket Languages. It truly is comprehensive and well developed. I truly hope that completing the entire program does make one somewhat proficient in the language as it is quite an expense.
A final note has to be the aesthetics, design and appearance of the website. The site is polished, clean and well organized. It breads for a simple and user friendly experience. Very appealing and enticing to any user.
I enjoy the courses because they are well structured and easy to follow. Most importantly, I find the user friendly platform makes it simple to navigate the lessons. I would like, however, some more texts to read for comprehension testing.
I work as a bartender in a beautiful little island in Panama. After a week searching for the perfect French course, I found it. And I also found an awesome team on the other side of the screen. The costumer service is impeccable. I love languages and in my profession, learning a new language is a hole new world of opportunities.
Overall, I understand the structure of the course, but it seems like many aspects, especially in testing, are done by a cookie-cutter algorithm which makes some really critical mistakes.
First, some technical issues. I use Chrome, as recommended, and there are a few things missing. Most notably, the on-screen Korean keyboard is not there. Also, I often do not have the button to mark a Writing lesson as completed. Finally, unlike in the app, there is no way for me to cut a voice recording off if I wish to restart, which often means waiting quite a while for the program to try to sort through gibberish.
Now, for the "cookie-cutter" aspect that bothers me. Frequently in the Audio lessons, the native speakers will say something that was not part of the lesson. This is fine, except that these phrases get put in the testing sections. For example, in the very first lesson there are introductions of the two native speakers. One says that he served in the Korean Marine Corps, then was discharged and migrated to the United States with his parents. He says this in Korean. This is a great way to get acquainted with the sound of the language. However, then this phrase comes up in the testing section of the exam.

I really enjoyed using rocket languages! It was fun and comprehensive especially because of the audio feature. In a span of just 2 days, i was able to speak in Korean in a conversational way! More Power! :D I would definitely recommend this to my family and friends.
it doesn't pick up what you say and it sometimes just says the wrong thing even though its nearly indistinguishable from the prompt
