I started with Rosetta Stone , I got frustrated when they introduced words and sentences that you had no explanation of. This frustrated me to no end, then I looked at someones blog post that referred to this site and thank God cause this is amazing. I read in someones review posted on this site that you can't go back to listen to something you missed during the conversation. I'd like to set it straight that you can actually use the thing you plug into the computer that allows you to move the cursor on the screen and drag the round circle back to where you want to. You DONT have to finish the conversation to the end and and replay it. *Sigh* Anyway, I'm excited to learn Russian, I have 3 months to get what I can down pat and hopefully be able to carry on some basic conversation, with the parents :) Its great when you have beautiful motivation to keep you engaged in the lessons. Also the mobile app is amazing, I can go on walks and in the car listening to the conversations in full to review. Thanks Rocket Languages!!! I will definitely learn Spanish and then Japanese next if this goes well!
I started out as a beginner French speaker, unable to communicate or understand the French language even at a basic level. However, 9 months later after completing the first three levels of the Rocket French course, I can confidently say that I am at an intermediate level of French. I was hoping to become fluent in the end, but I've learned that even the best French courses probably won't get you there. Learning another language is so much more than sitting in front of a computer, but this course really pushed me out of my comfort zone. At times I felt discouraged and didn't think what I was learning was valuable, but looking back and seeing just how far I've come, it was definitely worth the investment. This course offers so much variety, includes tremendous explanations and stimulates your brain by always being one step ahead of you. I would recommend this course because of its price, its structure, and the fact that it takes you from not being able to pronounce a single word in the language, to intermediate communication and comprehension. While Rocket French gives you all the tools you need to succeed, the results will depend on how much effort you are willing to put in while completing the course, and afterwards.
Anyone who wants to learn any language should purchase this app. The rocket Language app makes it fun to learn a new language. I will enjoy learning the Korean Language using this app. The price of this app is a great price, considering all that it will teach you in the language you would like to learn.
Awesome does not express how really really ausgezeichnet the program is. Every time I come back to the lessons, I learn something new. Each lesson provides practice in many different situations. The tests at the end of the lessons are a little too easy, but it works. Being able to add words to my vocabulary is also a great feature. I really enjoy the option to take the final exams. That gives me a very good idea of how I am progressing.
I've been around the language learning game for about 10 years now. (Programs, methods, etc. I have 1000s of books in 20+ languages) At first, as with any program, I'm skeptical. Rocket Languages is fantastic, to say the least. It gets you speaking, using real world situations and phrases that bring your conversational fluency up very quickly. The mobile app is awesome, I use it at work and at the airport/ while traveling. I wish there was some sort of package deal because I see myself buying them all. I recommend this program to all my friends that want to learn a language.
Really the only complaint I have is that the 3 levels isn't offered in every language, and that I live behind my computer because this stuff is addicting :D
Rocket, if you see this is there a package deal for everything? :D
I've used many language learning courses, and have found this one to be particularly impressive. I think the writing aspect of new vocabulary is vital, and something that tends to be overlooked by other methods; the ease of revision is also a major point in its favour, through flashcards, repeating activities already done, and so on. I've been using this for French, and would certainly consider purchasing a package for another language. The free trial was also a great way of allowing me to make up my mind before investing in the course. I'd certainly recommend this to anyone else seeking an effective way of starting a language.
I think it's a very good language tool. Unfortunately I'm an old man and my memory is going away. Nevertheless I enjoy it very much and hope I'll get great personal satisfactions studying the Rocket Arabic!
About the actual results, much shall depend, naturally, on the performance of my old brain.
Dear amigos,
Thanks a lot for this great course for beginners. It was a real step forward in Spanish. Before going to Malaga to learn Spanish in 2010 I had made some basic things and read through first topics using Rocket Spanish but finally I knew enough to get level A2 at Malaga University! Moreover the materials were extremely beneficial for my everyday life in Spain especially when I just arrived there.
It is time to go forward but now I'm sure in my success because I have a solid background due to your course. Muchas gracias! Viva your team!!!!!
The package is very well organized and well-planned, but I find it confusing. After completing Duolingo and Santamaria's Synergy Spanish, I'm not finding my proper level in Rocket Spanish and the system doesn't let me move ahead. The first third seems to me not useful to someone who is at the early intermediate stage, and I can't find a way to get into the second level. Instead, I keep getting just the intro material, which I already know. Even at the intro level, some problems jump out at me, such as the sudden addition of past tenses, when presumably the beginner doesn't know the present tense yet.
At first, I was able to record, but that suddenly quit on me, and now I can't. It doesn't matter too much, since I was getting 100% every time on my accent. I will try to manage without that feature. Headphones wouldn't help, since I can hear fine; I just can't record. I would like to advance, but don't see it happening.

Hi Barbara - The tabs to the different Levels are on the left hand side at the top. You can do the lessons in any order, there are no restrictions. If you are still having difficulty please contact customer support for more info. Also, we do recommend that people use a headset microphone or the free app/s for best results with voice recognition!
It is very frustrating that I cannot offline download the lessons in the app itself on my iPhone. It would have been better that way. I want to be able to use it in the car that way. I know you can download it through iTunes, but that is too cumbersome.
