Pretty happy with this programme, and I've already recommended it to a few other people who were interested in learning some of the available languages. Having tried other programmes, including "the biggie" in the computer language-learning market, I must say that I like this better.
If I had more available time, I would really like to work on another language, but... !
Rocket Italian is a great primary tool to use in learning Italian. The interactive audio lessons are engaging and they do a very good job of getting you to speak and write in Italian. The language and culture lessons offer a more in-depth opportunity to delve into the grammar and other technical issues of learning a language.
Sometimes you see something in one of the lessons that isn't explained as thoroughly as it could be (it is hard to cover EVERYTHING without being overwhelming). A place where Rocket Italian really shines is the forum. For most web sites, the Q&A forum is a black hole where questions go to disappear. For Rocket Italian, it is truly a valuable resource for filling in the blanks - led by terrific tutor Lucia!
As a point of comparison, a few years ago, I tried the "big name" in language learning. It was terribly disappointing. I spent 3x on "big name" compared to Rocket Italian, and it was not 1/10th as good. When I decided to re-commit to learning Italian, I did a lot of research and demo'd a few other offerings. Rocket Italian is by far the most comprehensive and fun to use. Highly recommend to anyone who has decided to get serious about learning a new language.
I love the website with so many options to learn from....survival kit, games, etc. The Beginners Book is incredable! If you can't learn from this program, it's your own fault. I didn't rate customer service because I haven't needed it.
I have tried most other elearning apps for French and made little progress. I wanted something with real lessons that I could do when I wanted and with an emphasis on speaking and writing. Rocket French is exactly that kind of course. I've spent 3 years studying with a competitor and got more confused. After just 4 grammar lessons of Rocket France, I feel like I've got a proper understanding of several key grammar points.
If you want to really work on your speaking and get your pronunciation correct, Rocket French is the best on the market.
an excellent way to learn a language and enjoy it at the same time!
I learned Japanese for the first time, in Japan, 32 years ago. I bought this course to refresh and expand my skills. It is fantastic. Love it. It makes my brain work hard and it's doing exactly what I wanted it to. I will keep plugging away, and keep improving. A great course, with a great, easy to follow format. It's like having your own private Japanese tutor.

Hi Peter, thank you for your review. It's awesome to hear that studying with Rocket Japanese feels like having your own private tutor. We wish you all the best with your Japanese language learning!
Done very well. Especially for older persons like me who have trouble remembering. Glad to see you point out formal vs informal. It is not just memorizing a script, information provided gives you a understanding of what is being said. Review process at the end of each lesson is very helpful.
The interactive audio lessons are really good. The subject matters cover everyday situations. There is a friendly and jovial rapport between the speakers which makes listening easy and amusing. You're learning by listening and also by reading the text of what is being discussed in English and German. It's the best way to learn a foreign language. I'd highly recommend it.
I have been studying Italian since 2010. Rocket Italian has been my primary learning vehicle although I have dabbled with others. Even with Rocket Italian, I suffer from 2 things everyone else struggles with: 1. Not having a person (s) with whom I can carry on a conversation and 2.I have a real job that takes up a lot of time. I have all 3 products, levels I, II and III and early on I raced through each lesson and did the multiple test questions at the end then went on. Then as time went on, I went back and listened to each lesson a 2nd and 3rd and 4th time and did all the tests. Hear it Say it, Write it and Know it. When I started doing those faithfully, my learning really took off. Another thing that has helped me recognize words is a website you can go to called Slow News in Italian. You can google it. It’s the days news slowly, in Italian and the translation is there if you struggle. It really helps pick up conversation. I offer these ideas because I just read several of the posts people have made and I see so many of us with the same issues. Buon imparando!
Great program so far! I'm about halfway done with Level 1 and I am incredibly pleased with the course so far. Both of the instructors have an excellent pace, and the focus on audio with cultural lessons is very effective for me. With other language-learning in school, there was a heavy focus on reading and writing, which is important, but actually speaking the language and learning how to pick our words and phrases you know helps to reenforce the learning effectively.
Very excited to continue the modules and other levels-Molto Bene Rocket Italian!
