The lessons are full of useful phrases and vocabulary. The presenters make everything clear and accessible, and there is an element of fun which is great to reinforce the learning process. I look forward to my lessons every day! And I know I'm making progress!
I studied some German in high school 55 years ago. I've tried several other well known and well advertised and more expensive language courses in the past, but I am most impressed with Rocket for it’s pacing and through attention to understanding the context in real life situations. I've been using it for a week and look forward to each days lesson.
I'm very new to Rocket (only a few lessons in). I love the idea, and almost all the execution, think it's a great design - well-organized, relevant conversational topics, practical for likely real-life situations, and there's lots of opportunity to practice (recording, writing, quizzes, etc).
Overall happy!
I have to say though that having to listen to one of the 2 two teachers for the course speak Italian with a really strong American accent is super-annoying. I don't want to hear that, it's not helpful. (I have a hard time imagining what Rocket could have even been thinking there...)
All that said, I'm still glad to have it. I'm going to Rome in 4 mo for the first time, and I feel like this will give me a great foundation for very basic interactions, which always feels good.

Thanks so much for your review and feedback - it's much appreciated. We wanted to let you know that our level 2 and 3 courses, plus the Travelogue lessons, include only native speakers speaking Italian. We are hoping to update Level 1 at some point, as well, with a native speaker. I hope that helps. Have a great trip to Rome!
The 2021 update is really good. I like that things are explained up front. I.E. the expression Hilf mir.
Before I didn't understand why mir was used instead of mich. The explanation was given allowing me to retain the expression easily. The difference between You speak good German and You speak German well also has made things clearer. Also I seem to understand Lena better than the previous lady speaker.
Also greatly improved is having the German letters with the Umlaut and the double SS available in the written portion while using the
computer keyboard. also makes the written portion easier by being able to concentrate on proper spelling instead of hunting for the special characters on the little keyboard.
Thanks for the improvements.
A good place to reach an intermediate level in languages.
It is very long but fun the video does get behind while I watch it, over all it's a great course.
I've been learning French for a long time, but I've always just watched Youtube videos or listened to popular podcasts for French learners. In other words, I didn't learn actively. So, I already knew a lot of phrases, but even for me, the level 1 lessons are helpful. I always find something that I'm surprised how much I don't know how to spell French words that I already know its sounds through this course. And super easy to follow! Good investment for sure.
Out of all the courses I've used, I've easily learned the most from this one.
Some of the other resources I've used have been heavily focused on trial and error, and they leave you with only a vague understanding of the language. They'll pair a sound with some pictures or a rough translation of what the words mean and you're supposed to just repeat the sounds and hope that you kind of understand them. This may work especially well for romance languages if you're coming to it as an English-speaker, but not for something as far-removed from English as Japanese.
This course does something I haven't seen any other course do, and it explains exactly why sentences are structured the way they are. This makes it much easier to learn the language because it gives you room to experiment with the words you're learning. Just knowing how particles work and how sentences are usually structured makes a big difference in how much information I end up retaining, because I'll actually know how to use a word I'm learning in a sentence.
This is a great course, and I highly recommend it even if it's not your first, but especially if it is.
I love how it helps me to retrain what I learned. I can't say that for the others.
Rocket Spanish is a wonderful Spanish Course.I like Rocket Spanish very much.
I would recommend it to my friends and family.Mauricio and Amy are excellent Teachers.
