This website is quite the learning site! It has very good other reviews, others including what I will say further on. But all of the experience I had over the first couple of days is shown here. I will probably not use this website for long periods of time because of the money included, but it is a good experience if you are new to the language, and had surprising features, such as the kanji and romaji, and previously I had gone on other websites which lacked those features.
I really am enjoying this website and it's features, which also include many known phrases and accurate translations, unlike other websites.
This website is easy to use, and you can include vocabulary in the my vocab section. I really enjoy using this, because it is an easy way to study japanese and any other language.
Although I do not want to use money, I will use this trial for as long as possible, cost-free.
Overall I would give this website 4/5 stars, the 1 star missing would be full free japanese training, although I'm certain after research that it might not exist.
But, even after that, the quality of this website is high, and the website is very intimidating to other ones. Rocket Languages is a very good starting website to learn languages on, and others should give it a try!
learning is a lot easier here, japanese seem really easy to learn from here......
The Rocket Japanese course is simple to use at the earlier levels, but with increasing level of detail and complexity needed for such a complex language.
Audios are clear and enjoyable. Unfortunately the mobile apps don't always seem to work as well as the web based programme - particularly for recording - otherwise I would rate higher.
Overall, a great product. I was able to learn Japanese petty fast with Rocket Japanese. Great interactive audio lessons. They are very helpful when trying to memorize the lesson and understand the meanings. Culture lessons have great content. However, I am a slow reader, I wish the culture lessons had interactive audio lesson along with them as well.
I have tried a number of different courses and approaches in my quest to learn Japanese. Books (Genki course), online resources (such as Busuu and Duolingo), purely listening based (Pimsleur) and software (Rosetta Stone). Together with the Genki course books, Rocket Japanese is by far the most comprehensive of them all. One gets to train different modes, like listening, speaking, writing and so on. The voice recognition seems to have some minor glitches, the overall impression is still very positive.
Been living in Japan for a year and a half now but I have difficulty picking up the language since I have no background. I read about rocket by googling best online Japanese courses and I did the trial and was disappointed when I couldn't do anymore so I decided to purchase it. I have been on it for a few days now and I must say I like it. I have not had it enough time to give a raving review but I really like the layout and the explanations that come with the course. I will definitely return and give another rating after using the course for a while and trying to practice with the natives. So Far so good.
I'm a beginner and I'm two months into it at the moment and am very satisfied overall with Rocket Japanese. I've purchased all three levels and the Play the Part product and I believe it's money well spent. The program is comprehensive in content and well-thought out and works well for me as the core of my Japanese language learning. I am supplementing the writing
lessons with other material that involves more paper and pen repetition to help hard-wire hiragana and katana in my brain, and I'll do the same with the kanji. I think Rocket is awesome as it is and realize that no one method can cover every possible base, but I will suggest that Rocket Japanese would be even more effective if it provided links to real world audio or video featuring native speakers, or written material suited to a particular learning level in the program. Otherwise, I'm only on the 3rd Module or Level 1, and have along way to go, but so far so good.
It's been a great way to review and practicing listening and speaking skills. It's a great starting point too. I live in Japan and have been picking up Japanese very slowly. Rocket Japanese does a good job balancing all elements of learning the language. It obviously isn't the best for learning kanji...BUT kanji isn't my goal right now. There are some great kanji apps out there to supplement that that too, such as kanji garden. This site is also very user friendly.
Thank you so much for this site.
I'm enjoy learning Japanese.
It's only been a month since I casually use this site. The only problem Andriod App. needs a UI fix.
But I would rate this website a 5 star!! Arigatou gozaimashita.
A good product to get started with the basic conversation.
Every sentence is broken into pieces and every word is explained in great detail.
As long as someone wants to start conversing then its good but if the emphasis is on taking exams such as JLPT then it may not be very useful as its purpose is different.
