I've really enjoyed the course and have learned a great deal. Maria and Alex are great they do a good job of explaining everything on the course plus extra stuff. So far the best Language course that I've tried.

I have just finished my Free Trial. During this period, I also tried several other competitor free trials, and used all of the comparing the similarities and differences. *Rosetta Stone was easily dismissed as I did not think they did well with phrase translations, but only focused on the single word. * There were a couple others, that were just too expensive, so that was an easy "No". * Spanishpod101 was very similar to RocketSpanish, but did not have the progress dashboard, and quite frankly, they had more unnecessary humor and comments in some of their dialogs that were not relative to the language learning. * Rocket Spanish was more geared to the learner. They keep encouraging routine practice, and the dashboard monitors your progress. Breaking down words into exact pronunciation has really helped me, and I only had the free trial !!! In summary, Rocket Spanish, in my opinion was the best language course for me at the best price. I would definitely recommend to a friend. I have been learning to speak French over a long period of time. I have tried many tapes and CDs. No program has been as effective as Rocket French. I love the interactive audio course. As I go over the materials a second and third time my language skills are improving. Since I purchased the program listening and writing tests have been added and has helped my comprehension of the language. I am happy with this program and I look forward to studying French and hopefully moving on to Spanish and Italian.

Useful every German language practice with Rocket German and I am starting to think in simple German Phrases. This is truly an Awesome Program that allows to build your language skills. It is also interesting to hear what are students/members have to say!

The feature that allows one to record and then listening to yourself as compared to the instructor has been a great help to me in learning the pronunciation. I enjoy using the Beginner's Spanish PDF book along with each lesson to look up word meanings and deeper usage help as I go through a lesson for the first time. I have found that the self-test ordering is the best sequence for my learning. I found that it is much easier to hear the phrase in Spanish and then say what it means than it is to read the English and then say it in Spanish (the "Know it" test). It forces me to learn to think in the language and gives me a strong memorization exercise to get the vocabulary down much more solidly. This is my second purchase from Rocket languages, having previously taken Rocket Italian. We were taking a vacation to Southern Italy at the time and would be driving in areas where English was not commonly spoken. I did not have much time to get up to speed before leaving but managed to get though about half of the beginner's course. It was enough to get us out of several jams we got into when getting lost and asking for directions, as well as recovering from taking a bus to the wrong place and trying to recover from that.

Learning Spanish is something that I have always wanted to do. But now that I am older and have went thru brain surgery, chemo and I am on dialysis now, I felt like I would not be able to utilize this program. But by God's grace I am and feel that I am remembering the phrases, I can speak it very fluently, thanks to Mauricio and Amy, and having so much fun trying. Thanks Rocket Spanish for an awesome product. Customer Support is out of this world.

An excellent system where each lesson builds on past lessons. Having one voice (Mauricio) always trigger you to repeat what he says works very well, at least for me. The material covered is very useful, every day language. The course helped me very much in preparing for a 500 mile walk across Spain.

Online accress is convienient.
Nice that in addition to beginning spanish, there is also intermediate and advance (not like other programs).
Interactive dialogs are a great help because you can vary the speed!

This is a great program. I've been using Rocket German for 16 days. So far, I've learned how to introduce myself, ask for help, tell time, count in german up to...one million, make some simple comparative statements, order a meal, and ask for directions/buy transportation tickets. Now, bear in mind, that I am spending at least 2 hours daily learning.. (which may be more than most can do).....but it's only been two weeks of time. If you want to learn a second (or third) language, then I think that this is the way to do it. As a point of comparison, I've spent years learning French in a traditional classroom environment..now... I am at an advanced level, but it took YEARS and thousands of dollars in tuition and a long stay in France to achieve this. I've also spent 6 months learning Russian in a classroom setting (again spending already hundreds of dollars) and I can say MORE in German ..having the Rocket course as my only exposure. In my opinion, with Rocket you avoid unmotivated teachers, boring textbooks and often the long span of time in between class sessions, because you can proceed daily. The tests are excellent and really reinforce all of the concepts and vocabulary.

I find the Rocket course an excellent course covering the full range of skills needed to communicate in another language.
It also has the facility to practice speaking the language. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to learn or improve communication in Portuguese
