I really struggled to learn to speak German. So I tried a lot of different methods. Rocket German gave me a good initial foundation. It didn't help that much with the grammar though. After I learned more grammar I returned to Rocket German and went through the course again. It was really helpful then for learning colloquial phrases and improving my pronunciation. I'd say there's no easy way to learn German but to learn how to have a basic conversation in German, Rocket German is extremely useful.
Overall Rocket Italian is a pretty good system. You get exposed to the language in a variety of ways and have some explanation as to why a particular pattern exists.
It does have the problem that there is only one correct answer for each thing. This of course ignores the fact that many things can be said in slightly different ways. As an example the phrase "She is angry" technically can be said as either "Lei è arrabbiata" OR "È arrabbiata" however the only accepted answer is "È arrabbiata". In other places an answer is only accepted if it has a he/she indicator.
There are also numerous places where the English phrase refers to you plural but for some strange reason they have not realized that _every_ place they do that needs some kind of indicator that they mean you plural rather than you singular since English only has 'you'.
Overall the issues with Rocket Italian aren't that big but they make it feel more like you are memorizing lines in another language rather than learning another language. The dialogues are the worst for this as they slowly take away more of the words you are supposed to say but you have to say the phrase word for word to get it right even though there are times when you could get the same meaning across with slightly different words. (They really should package the dialogue portion so that it can be used by actors memorizing lines as that is what it does.)
I absolutely love Rocket Languages, or in my case Rocket Japanese! I’ve had an account since 2011 and I just love the way it enables you to actively practice speech even if you don’t have a person to practice with. Since learning Japanese to me is a hobby, it is something that gets put on hold more often than not, however whenever I want to get back into it I start with listening to Rocket Japanese audio lessons. It’s puts me right back in the action of the language, something that would be neither as easy nor as fun if I were just using a book. I do combine the Rocket course with a book for better grammar and more hands-on practice in addition to a Kanji book, as I prefer more exercises, but it would not go as smoothly without your lessons, which are enjoyable even after the so-manieth repeat. just want to add that I appreciate all the upgrades that you do :)
I've been using Rocket for the past month along with a couple other language programs (Pimsleur, transparent, Duolingo, and Memrise) to boost my learning of Portuguese. Overall, I really like Rocket. The ability to download the audio is a big help as I commute a lot. The audio training is not as in depth as Pimsleur, but it is very good. The variety of lessons and the ability to jump around is great. The leader board helps to provide incentive to keep practicing which helps. Also, the entire program is very well rounded.
I sometimes have trouble with the record audio but it works most of the time. It is nice to be able to hear your own voice and compare to the teachers for accuracy. My biggest complaint with Rocket Portuguese is with the male speaker (Paulo). His pronunciation of words ending in "s" has a very harsh "sh" sound which is completely different from the female teacher and every other audio teacher I have heard. Words like "Bem vindos" which has a soft "os" ending are pronounced like "Bem vindoosh". I can understand that Paulo may be from a different part of Brazil and perhaps it is pronounced that way there. However, when every other teacher pronounces it with a soft ending you want to practice and mimmic the right way.
Overall, this is a great program and I plan on becoming conversationally fluent with Portuguese with Rocket's help.
The overriding problem with Rocket Languages is the faulty audio system. I own a MacBook Air 2013 computer for which the audio is excellent for all programs except this one.

Your program coordinates well with Rosetta Stone and Pimsleur. Each of the three offers something special.
Rosetta Stone covers grammar in an incremental, methodical manner - offering extremely valuable practice
exercises on a whole host of subject matter and syntactical patterns. Rocket Language is a good follow-on to
Rosetta Stone and Pimsluer and offers effective reinforcement of both types of learning. For some languages,
Rocket Language sentences are overly complex if introduced too soon. They are challenging to master.
Fun to use. I love how they use basic conversation and repeat until it becomes more fluent. The lessons and information are engaging. I had a little difficulty navigating the app and website login. It was a little confusing at first because they each present the information differently. Customer service, Marie has been wonderful helping.
As with any language, immersion and conversation will get you the farthest, but Rocket Spanish does a good job at giving you a wide range of vocabulary and practice with the spoken language. The reinforcement tools can seem tedious at times, but repetition and commitment is vital to learning a new language. Get it on sale and it is totally worth your time and energy.
Rocket French is the only course I have tried that succeeds in getting you talking. Many courses can teach you the basics as you sit in a class and take your turn to say something, or do online exercises but you still get tongue tied the second you try to use it in real life. Rocket French can get you past that.
I have 17 years in London with a French wife learning french on and off, and now live in France so need to use it. Learning a language in my opinion requires three things in general order (but even better if done in parallel) 1. A strong base of grammar and vocabulary to have something to work with 2. Speaking the language out loud to get into the habit of using it correctly without reflection 3. Moving to the country and chucking yourself in the deep end to expand and refine. Most courses can do 1, only you can do 3, but in my opinion after many years of french study rocket french is the only one that does 2 with depth and substance. Speaking correctly is also important, as although I have been speaking rough french for years that gets me by in family gatherings, only in doing the saying then writing that you really start nailing the articles and gender etc to really move forward.
It is awesome. I learned so much. I am still just a beginner, but learned so much sense we bought it. Thanks I love it so much. I hope a lot of people learn stuff through it. Rocket Chinese is the best.
I did some research before buying Rocket Spanish and the reviews were excellent, however I did not read anything that said it was all about South American and therefore some of the language is different. I feel it is designed for the younger people with little reference to the older person who only plan to go on vacation to mainland Spain. I also think the long drawn out conversation by the American lady at the start of each session is excessive and a little annoying, although of course you can skip this as shorter conversations follow and these cover all the relevant points.
On the plus side Rocket Spanish has been well thought out and covers everything that is needed to learn Spanish. I like the fact that you can jump ahead and back to different modules if there is something specific you want to learn, like the time or numbers. I also like to use the voice recognition and the conversation section. The price is excellent so I purchased the whole package which will last me forever. I do not regret buying this product and my Spanish is improving because of it.
